It's the most... Wonderful time... OF THE YEAR!!!
Shamelessly, we are a "before Thanksgiving" Christmastime family. Part of it has to do with the fact that we travel over the holidays and don't get to spend much time enjoying our decor... the other part is just because we want to. Don't hate. :)
So I thought this would be a fun opportunity to reveal our living room! (Especially since we completed it over a year ago... Sorry, far away living family! I promise I'll get better... Again...)

Getting down those gosh-awful mirrors was sooo difficult!... for my husband, lol. I stood back and took pictures. :) We covered the mirrors with masking tape so that if they shattered, we wouldn't have glass flying all over the place. We also rented these fancy suction cup things to help pull the mirrors down. The top mirror, however, decided to be a real piece of poo. We ended up using some picture wire and shimmying it behind the mirror to get some of the glue unstuck.

Do you see any glue leftover from the mirrors? No way, Blue Jay. Because my handsome husband did a PHENOMENAL job plastering over it!

He's stinking adorable. :)
If you need to paint your baseboards but have some, er, 'fluffy' carpet, just take a cutting knife to pull back the carpet and paint against it. Viola!

I think wreath hangers are so unattractive. So I put an upside-down command hook on our door instead, and it does a pretty great job! (Click to enlarge) |

And of course, no Christmas house that my husband lives in would be complete without an amazing exterior, all designed and put up by him, I might add. :)

How does he get those lines so straight??

From our house to yours, I hope you have a very wonderful holiday season. Please take time to remember the reason, spend time with your loved ones, and by all means... drink a white peppermint mocha. ;)
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6
Merry Christmas, loves!!
